Matawan Borough's annual Independence Day fireworks celebration will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Lake Lefferts Park. The event will run from 6:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., and fireworks go off when it gets dark. Live music from local band The Wag. The rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 29, 2025. There will be kids' activities, including air brush tattoos, balloon art, sand art, crafts and inflatables. There will be vendors offering light-ups and toys, food and ice cream for purchase.
