Cars parked at Huber Woods Park and Thompson Park were broken into Wednesday.

The Monmouth County Park System reported there were two “smash and grab” car break-ins at county parks Wednesday.

The break-ins occurred in cars parked at Huber Woods Park and Thompson Park. The vehicles' windows were smashed and valuables were grabbed.

Visitors are urged not to leave valuables in their cars, especially when they are visible, and to notify Park Rangers of any suspicious activity in parking lots, the park system asked. To reach a Monmouth County Park Ranger, contact the County emergency communications center at 732-577-8700.
