Car Window Broken At Matawan Train Station

Someone who parked their car at the Matawan-Aberdeen train station reported their car window was broken earlier last week, police report.

MATAWAN, NJ — Someone who parked their car at the Matawan-Aberdeen train station reported their car window was broken earlier last week, Aberdeen police report.

The incident happened last Thursday, June 15, police said. The car's owner, a Marlboro resident, reported that the window of his vehicle was broken while it was parked at the train station on Atlantic Avenue that day. No other car break-ins at the station have been reported to police.

  • On June 14 a 54-year-old Keyport man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Perth Amboy municipal court following an incident at the WaWa store on Hwy. 35. P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud was the arresting officer.
  • On June 15 a 51-year-old Roselle man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
  • A 23-year-old Aberdeen woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on June 16. P.O. Heather Dillon was the arresting officer.
  • A 23-year-old township man was charged with harassment following an incident on Shore Concourse on June 16. P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud was the arresting officer.
  • On June 20 a 39-year-old Brooklyn, NY man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Atlantic City municipal court. P.O. Hank Chevalier was the arresting officer.
  • On June 20 a 29-year-old Monticello, NY man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Highland Park municipal court. P.O. Hank Chevalier was the arresting officer.

  • P.O. Anthony Marone responded to a report of harassment at Aberdeen Station apartments on Central Ave. on June 14.
  • A resident of Netherwood Drive reported the theft of four bicycles from her property. P.O. Hank Chevalier took the report.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone responded to a report of harassment at Heritage Square apartments on Hwy. 34 on June 14.
  • P.O. Craig Hausmann responded to a report of harassment at Chelsea Village on Cross Rd. on June 15.
  • A Marlboro resident reported that the window of his vehicle was broken while it was parked at the train station on Atlantic Ave. on June 15. P.O. Mary Johnston took the report.
  • P.O. Darryl Richardson responded to a report of harassment on South Atlantic Ave. on June 16.
  • On June 17 P.O. Edgar Serrano responded to a report of damage to a porch at a residence on Overlook Circle.
  • On June 17 P.O. Craig Hausmann responded to a report of a vehicle being spray-painted at Ken Gardens on Matawan Ave.
  • On June 18 a Holmdel resident reported he was assaulted while walking on Amboy Ave. P.O. Craig Hausmann took the report.
  • On June 18 the loss prevention officer reported a male subject left the store with several items without paying. The subject was described as a white male approximately 30 years old, 6’ tall, medium build, wearing black basketball shorts, a white t-shirt, and a baseball cap. P.O. Craig Hausmann took the report.
  • On June 18 a resident of Rose St. reported the fraudulent use of his debit card. P.O. Matthew McDow responded.
  • On June 18 a resident of West Aspen Way reported someone entered her residence and took personal documents. P.O. Craig Hausmann took the report.
  • On June 19 a resident of Sweetbriar St. reported that family members have been taking her vehicle without her consent and fraudulently using her credit cards. The vehicle was later located on Sweetbriar St. and secured. Sgt. Darrell Oliver and Det. Manny Carabel investigated.
  • On June 20 P.O. Heather Dillon investigated the theft of a bicycle from the Matawan Aberdeen Middle School.
