Charity Softball Game featuring WFAN and Aberdeen-Matawan Police
The Aberdeen & Matawan Police will challenge WFAN Sports Radio in a charity softball game to benefit Darrell Rogers, Jr. Aug 25.

Police Departments from Aberdeen and Matawan will challenge a team from WFAN Sports Radio, including Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti (Boomer and Gio), in a charity softball game to benefit Matawan Regional High School student Darrell Rogers, Jr. The game will take place on Tuesday, August 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Fireman’s Field in Aberdeen.
In addition to the charity softball game, New York Giants defensive end Kerry Wynn and retired New York Giants linebacker Jessie Armstead will be on hand signing autographs and taking pictures from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Darrell Rogers, Jr, a 16-year-old sophomore and a member of the school’s varsity basketball team, suffered sudden cardiac arrest during practice due to an undiagnosed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Proceeds from the ticket sales and a percentage of the proceeds from the food vendors will help to defray Rogers’ medical bills.
