Cliffwood Resident, Former Courthouse Clerk Dies at 77

Ellen (McCallion) O’Hare, 77, of Cliffwood, passed away, Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born in Staten Island, NY, she resided there before moving to Cliffwood 51 years ago. She worked as a court clerk with the Monmouth County Courthouse, Freehold for 25 years. 

Ellen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert O’Hare, Sr. in 2006; her parents, James and Anne (McKenna) McCallion and seven siblings.  She is survived by her two loving children, Anne VanMeerbeke of Eatontown and Robert O’Hare, Jr. of Cliffwood; a sister, Trudy Johnson of Houston, TX and a brother, Joe McCallion of NJ; and three cherished grandchildren, William, Brian and Nicole. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
