The Cambridge Park PTO is hosting its 2nd annual Cambridge Park 5k Run / Walk for Owen event on Matawan-Aberdeen Day, September 10th, 2016.

The Cambridge Park PTO is hosting its second annual Cambridge Park 5k Run/Walk for Owen on Saturday September 10th, 2016. This special memorial race celebrates the life of Cambridge Park Preschool student, Owen Taraszkiewicz, who lost his life to a rare disease called HLH at age 3 in 2013.

This year, the Cambridge Park PTO teamed up with international charity, Where Angels Play, to build a memorial playground for Owen at Cambridge Park Preschool in Aberdeen. A portion of the proceeds from the race will be given to Where Angels Play so that they may continue their mission of healing families through creating beautiful places to play. For more about Where Angels Play and what they do, please visit www.whereangelsplayfoundation.org.

The Cambridge Park 5k Run/Walk for Owen will begin and end at the Aberdeen/Matawan Train Station in Lot 4. Check in time for the race begins at 7:00 am. The race start time is at 8:45 am. Early registration is $25 and must be postmarked by August 22nd. Regular registration is $35 and can be made right up until start time.
