The Community YMCA to Host Annual Benefit Sept. 26 at Camp Arrowhead

Board members Remsen Straub and Bryan Kuderna to Co-Chair Event

The Community YMCA will be hosting the Y Cares Annual Benefit on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at Camp Arrowhead, the Y’s signature summer day camp in Marlboro.

Board members Remsen Straub and Bryan Kuderna have been named co-committee chairmen for the event, which will benefit The Community YMCA’s YCares financial assistance program for kids and families in need of free and reduced program and membership fees, as well as community initiatives such as water safety programs for at-risk youth.

The Y will honor William O. George III, Superintendent of Middletown Township Schools, with the Distinguished Citizen Service Award and the Middletown Township School District with the Community Partner Award.

Support for the benefit will help the Y ensure that everyone – regardless of age, income or background - has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through Y programs such as afterschool care, youth sports, health and wellness, swim lessons, summer camp, teen leadership and counseling and social services.
