Drunk Driving Crash On Hwy. 35 In Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, NJ — An Aberdeen man was charged with driving while intoxicated and causing a motor vehicle accident on Highway 35 earlier this month, police said. Pedro Juarez, 39, of Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to observe a traffic control device and being an unlicensed driver following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 last Wednesday, June 7, police said.

In other Matawan-Aberdeen police blotter news:

  • On June 12 an employee of the WaWa on Hwy. 35 reported a black male subject attempted to leave the store with two cartons of cigarettes without paying for them. The subject was 5’7”, 175 pounds, wearing a gray sweatshirt, and he fled on a bicycle.
  • On June 11, Patrolman John Zeller responded to a report of a fire at Veterans Park on the beachfront and found playground equipment on fire. Fire personnel responded and extinguished the fire.   • On June 10 a resident of Dolan Ave. reported someone attempted to enter her locked vehicle.
  • On June 8 a resident of Locust St. reported someone flattened a tire on his vehicle.
