DUI on New Brunswick Ave. in Matawan Tuesday Night

A Monroe Twp. woman hit a tree and a utility pole at 10:42 p.m.

MATAWAN, NJ - A Monroe Township woman was charged with DUI Tuesday night after she hit a tree and utility pole while driving on New Brunswick Avenue, Aberdeen police said.

The 44-year-old woman's car crossed over the center line of the roadway and struck a tree and a utility pole at 10:42 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, police said. There were no injuries. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to keep right.

P.O. Roger Peter was the arresting officer.
