Matawan Reelects Republican Incumbents
Mayor and two councilman reelected in Tuesday's election
All voting districts have reported their results, according to the Monmouth County website.
Mayor Paul Buccellato (R), Councilman Tom Fitzsimmons (R) and Councilman Joe Urbano (R) were reelected over Democratic hopefuls William Cole and Peggy Devlin Blazewicz.
Buccellato thanked his friends, family and Matawan residents for their support during the election and said he looks forward to continuing his service to the borough alongside Fitzsimmons and Urbano.

"It means a lot to have you all around me," Buccellato said. "Being the mayor is a job in itself, but having six professionals alongside you is a great help."
