Editorial - Why you should Vote for Jeff Bell this November 4th

Jeff Bell may not be a perfect candidate. Particularly because he has not lived in NJ for the last 30 years. However, Cory Booker did not live in Newark when he became it’s mayor.

So that aside, I think that policies of fiscal integrity and discipline will help our nation. He is an intelligent person who has worked in government under Ronald Reagan. He helped orchestrate the economic boom of the 1980’s. He has a clear grasp of the economic challenges that face our nation today. He is supported by the Tea Party but is hardly what you would call a tea party candidate. The tea party doesn’t support his position on immigration nor are they calling on the nation to have the dollar backed by gold. He is an independent thinker who is not tied to philosophy.

He handled himself well in the debate. He clearly demonstrated that he is a problem solver. He worked with Democrats on the 1986 Tax Reform Act, as well as immigration reform. He is a pragmatic conservative. He will think about what policies will better position us for the future. He will not be thinking about his political future, but rather the future of the nation

Cory Booker has been called a self promoter, even by Democrats. As mayor of Newark he was a disappointment. Violent crime was a huge problem when he took office as Newark mayor and it actually got worse under his watch. Violent crime went up while the population decreased.
