8th Annual . Allure of Chocolate - Chocolate Tasting

Chocoholics Unite! On Sunday, January 30, 2011, the Historic Village of Old Bridge Community Group and the NJ Museum of Agriculture will present a program on the history of chocolate, chocolate demonstrations, and chocolate taste-testing; program runs from 1pm-4pm. The event is held at the NJ Museum of Agriculture, 103 College Farm Rd., North Brunswick, NJ (adjacent to the Cook College Campus – on Rte. 1 south of the Ryder’s Lane overpass). New this year, sugar free items will be offered on the refreshment buffet.Birnn Chocolates of Highland Park will co-sponsor the event for the eighth year, providing chocolate for the demonstrations, a presentation on chocolate, samples, and staff will be available with a variety of packaged chocolates for sale at their annual “Chocolate Shoppe” display. Birnn Chocolates and Yamate Chocolatier also manufactures up-scale, natural, sugar free chocolates which are sold nationwide to natural food stores. Products will be available for sale at the Chocolate 2011 program.The session will start with a chocolate presentation and chocolate demonstration, followed by refreshments including a chocolate dessert buffet and beverages. Tickets are $20.00 per person in advance (by Jan. 21st) and $25.00 at the door, (if available). Seating is limited and advance tickets are suggested; a limited number of tickets may be available at the door. Proceeds from the program will be shared by the two non-profit organizations for programming and program expenses.For reservations, send a check payable to: “Chocolate 2011″ – 42 River Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
