Fire on Cypress Lane in Aberdeen Sunday Night
The fire broke out at about 8:30 p.m. and spread rapidly through the single-family home.

Aberdeen, NJ - A home at 67 Cypress Lane caught fire Sunday evening in Aberdeen Township, according to police and fire radio transmissions. The fire broke out in the single-family home at around 8:30 p.m. and spread rapidly through the home. Heavy fire conditions were reported.
There were no injuries reported, however the home was badly damaged by the blaze and is uninhabitable as of Monday morning, said Deputy Police Chief Rick Derechailo. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Township Police and Monmouth County Fire Marshall's Office.
Mutual aid was called in from Matawan and Union Beach, with Lawrence Harbor and Sayreville providing backup coverage.
