Fred Tagliarini Keeps Firm Hold On Aberdeen
He faced a threat from Republican challenger Michael Canberg, but Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini was able to handily win re-election today.

ABERDEEN, NJ — He faced a threat from Republican challenger Michael Canberg, but Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini was able to handily win re-election tonight in Aberdeen.
Democrat Tagliarini easily emerged the victor, winning 62.92% of the votes tonight, compared to 36.99% for Republican Canberg. With nearly all the districts reporting by 9:30 p.m., Tagliarini won 2,640 votes compared to 1,552 for Michael Canberg.
Canberg challenged Tagliarini on what some say is overdevelopment in Aberdeen and a concern from some residents about the increase in the Hasidic and Orthodox Jewish population. Tagliarini is pictured in his official mayoral photo.
