Come and participate in this meditative form of exercise which is associated with both spiritual and health benefits. This monthly class will be taught by Al Chuderski. No prior experience is needed, just wear comfortable clothing.

Interested in learning yoga, but have difficulty getting down on the floor? Now you too can enjoy all the benefits of yoga without having to get on a mat. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation while seated in a chair. The class will be taught by Danielle Meany, RYT. All levels welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary.

Must be at least 18 years-old and a MAPL cardholder to participate.

Thursday, April 12 @ 7 pmSpanish Conversation for Adults (8 weeks, no April 5)

Being able to speak Spanish is a better way to communicate when you travel and being bilingual can make you more competitive in the workplace. In this eight week program for native English speakers, you will have the opportunity to practice listening and speaking with a native Spanish speaker in a small group setting.

Participants must be able to commit to attending all classes.

Classes will meet on 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, and 5/1 (no class on 4/5).

Celebrate Earth Day and plan your 2018 garden by attending our first Seed Swap!

We will get you started this year with seeds for some super easy to grow plants. We will provide growing instructions as well as directions on how to best save the seeds at the end of the growing season.

Next year when we have our 2nd annual Seed Swap, bring your saved seeds to share with others and get something different for your garden!

Seeds available on a first come basis while supplies last. One set per household please!

This group is for people who are serious about trying to get published. It’s a safe place where participants are able to give and receive constructive criticism on their writing. Participants should be prepared to read 3-5 pages of their own writing aloud to the group. No need to bring copies for the group.

This class is great for the beginner or experienced student as we give variations for all levels. Focusing on movement integrating breath, awareness, and alignment you will build strength, focus, flexibility, and balance for both mind and body. The class will be taught by Tula Yoga instructor, Jennifer Cavalieri. Please bring your own yoga mat or large towel.

Must be at least 18 years-old to participate.

Beverages should be flavorful and festive even when they are non-alcoholic. Learn how to make delicious mocktails for parties, holidays, and everyday enjoyment. Class includes methods, recipes and tips for unforgettable gatherings. Bonus – there will be tastings of these delicious mocktails!

Preference will be given to MAPL cardholders.

Monday, April 30 @ 7 pm Poetry Night

Celebrate National Poetry Month with us!

Edwin Romond is the author of eight collections of poetry and he is the recipient of the 2013 New Jersey Poetry Prize for his poem “Champion.” Mr. Romond will read selections from his collection for about twenty minutes and then we will have an open mic session so members of the community can showcase their creative talents. You are invited to share a poem you have written or to read one from your favorite poet. Or just join us to listen and encourage others.

We’ll make it a special event with “wine” and cheese refreshments for all to enjoy.
