Thursday, August 2 @ 11 am – Learn Tai Chi
Come and participate in this meditative form of exercise which is associated with both spiritual and health benefits. This monthly class will be taught by Al Chuderski. No prior experience is needed, just wear comfortable clothing.
Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to Matawan Aberdeen card holders.

Thursday, August 2 @ 7 pm – Adult Paint Night: Van Gogh Landscapes
You’ll learn about the life and artwork of Vincent van Gogh as you create a nighttime windy landscape design using oil pastels and watercolors. This is a ninety minute art class.

Monday, August 6 @ 7 pm – Castles of the Empire State
Learn about some of the most beautiful castles in New York State, many accessible in only a few hours. As a bonus, you’ll also learn about some castles located right here in New Jersey!
Thursday, August 9 @ 1:30 pm – Chair Yoga
Interested in learning yoga, but have difficulty getting down on the floor? Now you too can enjoy all the benefits of yoga without having to get on a mat. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation while seated in a chair. The class will be taught by Danielle Meany, RYT. All levels welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary.
Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to Matawan Aberdeen card holders.
Friday, August 3 & 10 @ 4 pm – Group Guitar Lessons for Beginners
Designed for students aged 14 and up, join us for a fast paced and fun introduction to the guitar. You will learn classic rock songs and see why the guitar is one of the easiest instruments to learn. Bring your guitar if you have one; a few will be available to share if you don’t.
No registration necessary!
Sunday, August 12 @ 1 pm – Drop-in Craft: Rock Painting for Adults
Stop by between 1 and 4 pm for the opportunity to turn ordinary rocks into artistic creations. There is no instructor for this class, but we’ll provide some examples to get your creative juices flowing. We supply the rocks and paint, you supply the imagination!
Monday, August 13 @ 7 pm – Popsicles & Zipsicles
Who doesn’t love this quintessential summer treat? Join us to learn a little popsicle history while we show how easy it is to create this unique, delicious and (sometimes healthy) treat. And of course we will sample some creations along the way.
Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to Matawan Aberdeen card holders.
Tuesday, August 14 @ 7 pm – After Hours Music: Billy Penn and The Inside Drivers
The Inside Drivers, with their “Rock-a-billy” sound, pay tribute to the legendary artists of Sun Records. The most famous Sun artists include Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash. Dance, sing along, bop or just watch from a safe distance. This show is entertaining for everyone!
Thursday, August 16 @ 7 pm –Loving Vincent
In the first fully painted feature film, 2018 Oscar-nominated Loving Vincent tells the story of the mysterious and tragic death of the world’s most famous artist, Vincent van Gogh. This gorgeous film featues the voices of Saoirse Ronan and Chris O’Dowd. We’ll stream this film using our newest digital resource, Kanopy.
Monday, August 20 @ 7 pm – Trivia Night for Adults
Open to adults ages 18 and up, our first ever Trivia Night will feature a wide variety of categories. Teams will consist of up to 6 players; participants may form their own teams or be placed on a team when they arrive. Light refreshments will be served and small prizes awarded. No registration required. Join us for a fun evening!
Monday, August 27 @ 7 pm – Yoga Basics
This class is great for the beginner or experienced student as we give variations for all levels. Focusing on movement integrating breath, awareness, and alignment you will build strength, focus, flexibility, and balance for both mind and body. The class will be taught by Tula Yoga instructor, Jennifer Cavalieri. Please bring your own yoga mat or large towel.
Must be at least 18 years-old to participate.
