Monday, February 4 @ 7 pm – Take Control of Your Financial Future: Master Five Money Questions for WOMEN
Women and men have differing considerations when it comes to long-term financial goals. For instance, because of a woman's average longer life span, your needs may be significantly different from those of your spouse or others. Does your financial strategy fit your lifestyle and needs? Join us and learn more as we explore five critical money questions for women. This workshop will be presented by Financial Advisor, Erika K. Boyer, from Edward Jones.

While Excel is known for its spreadsheets and their ability to manage data, raw numbers aren’t the easiest way to understand what you are seeing. This hands-on class will explore the amazing charts and graphs that Excel provides to help you turn confusing rows of numbers into a form you can understand at a glance!
Thursday, February 7 @ 11 am – Learn Tai Chi*

Come and participate in this meditative form of exercise which is associated with both spiritual and health benefits. This monthly class will be taught by Al Chuderski. No prior experience is needed, just wear comfortable clothing.
Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to Matawan Aberdeen card holders.
Thursday, February 7 @ 3 pm – Paint a Wine Glass*
Come paint a wine glass for yourself or as a gift. We will provide small templates to paint designs with acrylic gloss. Do a monogram, a small image or improvise a little. Cure the glasses at home (we will tell you how) to keep the color safe.
Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to MAPL cardholders.

Confused about the new tax laws? What do they mean for your bottom line?
Please join us to get your questions answered.
Peggy Werns and Anthony Castella are experienced tax preparers with H&R Block at the Cliffwood Plaza Branch and will be presenting a short talk explaining the new tax laws.
There will be a Q and A afterwards.

Thursday, February 14 @ 1:30 pm – Chair Yoga*
Interested in learning yoga, but have difficulty getting down on the floor? Now you too can enjoy all the benefits of yoga without having to get on a mat. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation while seated in a chair. The class will be taught by Danielle Meany, RYT. All levels welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary.
Participants must be at least 18 years-old and preference will be given to Matawan Aberdeen card holders.
Saturday, February 16 @ 2 pm –Crochet for a Cause*
Join us to crochet cotton washcloths that will be donated (with a bar of unscented soap) to a local shelter. This workshop is perfect for beginners since we will provide instructions as well as yarn, crochet hooks and patterns. The workshop will meet once a month for three months (also on February 16 and March 9) so you will have plenty of time to finish your project.
Space is very limited so preference will be given to MAPL cardholders.
Wednesday, February 20 @ 7 pm - Growing Blueberries, Brambles, and Ribes at Home
It’s time to start thinking about the garden!
This is a talk about tips for growing blueberries, raspberries/blackberries, currants and gooseberries in the home garden. General guidelines on site selection, obtaining, planting and fertilizing your plants, pest control, and some suggestions on varieties to try will be covered.
Presented by Master Gardener John Eaves.
Monday, February 25 @ 7 pm – Yoga Basics
This class is great for the beginner or experienced student as we
give variations for all levels. Focusing on movement integrating breath,
awareness, and alignment you will build strength, focus, flexibility,
and balance for both mind and body. The class will be taught by yoga
instructor, Carrie Palamara. Please bring your own yoga mat or large
towel.
Must be at least 18 years-old to participate.
Thursday, February 28 @ 7 pm – Meditation for Everyone
Start the New Year with a calming meditation practice. Learn the power that your mind has over your body and bring peace through a mind-body connection. Understand the science behind meditation and relax through guided sessions. Each class will also focus on healthy and practical habits including breathing exercises, techniques to quiet distractions, and creating a routine and space.
