Saturday, January 14 @ 1 pm – Craft Your Own Soap
Customize your own soap. We will use melt and pour soap base, fragrances and drops of color to make individualized bars of soap. Please bring a hand towel to wrap the mold so that the soap can cool down gradually at your home. Enrollment is limited so please register now. Must be 18 years-old to participate and preference will be given to Matawan Aberdeen library card holders.

While cell phone use has skyrocketed, not everyone is taking advantage of the great photographs they can create. Even for those who are taking snapshots, you may be wondering what to do with them once they are on your phone. This discussion-style class will cover the basics of taking photos on both Apple iPhones and Android phones, moving them to another device, backing them up, basic image editing, and much more!

Losing weight is at the top of the list for New Years Resolutions. Strength training is the best way to lose weight and KEEP IT OFF. Strength training actually burns more fat than cardio, improves bone density, and can also greatly improve your quality of life. You will need a mat, a set of light weights, and water (If you do not have weights, you can bring two (2) extra water bottles.) We will warm up, train each major muscle group and cool down and stretch. Presented by Denise Morgan, Certified Yoga Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer, and a Group Exercise Instructor.

Sunday, January 22 @ 1 pm – Adult Coloring & Puzzles
Coloring and jigsaw puzzles are usually activities we think of as being for kids. However, they can be beneficial for adults and aid in reducing stress. When we focus on a particular activity, we focus on it and not on our worries. Join us for a relaxing afternoon of coloring or building a jigsaw puzzle, hot beverages, and soothing music. Everything will be provided. Adults only, please.
Monday, January 23 @ 7 pm – Meet the Artist: Jackson Pollack
During this lecture we’ll be looking closely at Jackson Pollock’s tumultuous and ultimately short life, his unconventional, avante-garde art and methods, and how he changed the way we look at art.
Thursday, January 26 @ 11 am – Yoga Basics
This class is great for the beginner or experienced student as we give variations for all levels. Focusing on movement integrating breath, awareness, and alignment you will build strength, focus, flexibility, and balance for both mind and body. The class will be taught by Tula Yoga instructor, Jennifer Cavalieri. Please bring your own Yoga mat or large towel. Must be at least 18 years-old to participate.
