Thursday, July 6 @ 1:30 pmChair Yoga
Interested in learning yoga, but have difficulty getting down on the floor? Now you too can enjoy all the benefits of yoga without having to get on a mat. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation while seated in a chair. The class will be taught by Danielle Meany, RYT. All levels welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary.

Thursday, July 6 @ 7 pm Meet the Artist: Andy Warhol
Come join us as we look at the life, career, and art historical legacy of one of the most important and influential artists of the 20th century. We’ll examine the birth of pop art, its implications, and how it changed the art world forever.

Saturday, July 8 @ 10 amMason Jar Herb Garden
Enjoy fresh basil all summer long right in your own kitchen. We will decorate mason jars and then plant basil seeds. Place the jar in a sunny window and soon you will be picking basil leaves for cooking, making herb butter (recipe will be provided), and just enjoying the delicious smell of basil in your home! Participants must be at least 18-years-old and Matawan Aberdeen card holders.

This is more performance than lecture, as this program combines music, visuals and narration for a unique experience. The Secret Life of Musical Instruments explores the families of instruments and Spasm Bands to Spike Jones examines the history of homemade instruments in American pop culture. This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Matawan Aberdeen Public Library. All ages welcome!

Sunday, July 16 @ 1 pm - Painted Rock Garden Markers

Brighten up your garden and make it easy to navigate. Come to the library and learn how to make these beautiful garden markers from simple stones. All supplies will be provided, just bring your creativity! Participants must be at least 18-years-old and Matawan Aberdeen card holders.

The purpose of The Write Time is to spend moments sharing fun ideas in the form of creative writing. We will encourage one another to use gifts /talents to explore this process. The group will enjoy such activities as interactive word play and storytelling. The group will meet the third Monday of each month. Everyone is welcome!

Do you enjoy healthy eating and baking your own snacks? In this demonstration cooking class, we will be baking our own nutritious granola from scratch! After that, we will make parfaits using yogurt, the fresh granola, and a variety of mix-ins! Participants must be at least 18-years-old and Matawan Aberdeen card holders.

Thursday, July 27 @ 11 amYoga Basics
This class is great for the beginner or experienced student as we give variations for all levels. Focusing on movement integrating breath, awareness, and alignment you will build strength, focus, flexibility, and balance for both mind and body. The class will be taught by Tula Yoga instructor, Jennifer Cavalieri. Please bring your own yoga mat or large towel. Must be at least 18 years-old to participate.
