Monday, October 14 – Yesterday
Jack Malik is a frustrated musician whose musical career is going nowhere. However, on the night Jack decides to give up, the whole world is momentarily hit with a massive blackout during which Jack is hit by a bus. Upon regaining consciousness, Jack learns to his astonishment that he is apparently now the only one who knows the music of the Beatles. Jack begins playing the music of the greatest of the rock bands, claiming it as his own. It pays off quickly and Jack becomes a worldwide musical sensation. However, Jack finds himself drifting away from Ellie, only realizing his love for her when she has become intimidated by his success, which depends on a blatant plagiarizing that no one could find out. Now, Jack must make a fundamental moral decision about his music to satisfy his conscience as he decides what he truly needs.

Monday, October 21 – The Children Act
Fiona Maye is an eminent High Court judge in London presiding with wisdom and compassion over ethically complex cases of family law. But she has paid a heavy personal price for her workload, and her marriage to American professor Jack is at a breaking point. In this moment of personal crisis, Fiona is asked to rule on the case of Adam, a brilliant boy who is refusing the blood transfusion that will save his life. Adam is three months from his 18th birthday and still legally a child. Should Fiona force him to live? Monday, October 28 – The Awakening
It’s the time of year for a ghost story, an atmospheric British ghost story. In 1921 London, Florence Cathcart is famous for exposing hoaxes and helping the police to arrest con artists. A stranger arrives to say that the headmaster of a boarding school in Rookford has invited her to investigate a ghost that is frightening the pupils to death. He adds that many years ago there was a murder in the estate and recently pupil Walter Portman had died. The reluctant Florence finally accepts to go to Rookford. On arrival, she is welcomed by governess Maud and a boy, Thomas Hill. Soon Florence discovers what had happened to Walter. After the students, teachers and staff are released on vacation, Florence remains alone with Robert, Maud and Tom in the school. As she is ready to leave the boarding school, strange things happen, leaving the usually unflappable Florence scared.
