His summer job, tending to the palatial estate of the reclusive, enigmatic and overly demanding Dr. Kahn is backbreaking. His parents appear on the verge of divorce; his sister Michelle is forcing him to help conceal her clandestine rendezvous with the local pretty boy; and his best friend and kindred spirit Joanie is leaving for a month and won't tell him why. On top of that, a crazy townie has focused his hatred of the rich summer people exclusively on Bobby. Over the course of this emotional rollercoaster of a summer, secrets are revealed, lessons are learned and Bobby comes to understand who he is and what makes up the true measure of a man.

Monday, September 17Witness for the Prosecution
Agatha Christie’s birthdate is September 15 and in her honor we present the highest review rated of her films. When Leonard Vole is arrested for the sensational murder of a rich, middle-aged widow, the famous Sir Wilfrid Robarts agrees to appear on his behalf. Sir Wilfrid, recovering from a near-fatal heart attack, is *supposed* to be on a diet of bland, civil suits. But the lure of the criminal courts is too much for him, especially when the case is so difficult: Vole's only alibi witness is his wife, the calm and coldly calculating Christine Vole. Sir Wilfrid's task becomes even more impossible when Christine agrees to be a witness not for the defense but for the prosecution.

Starring: Tyrone Powell, Marlene Dietrich, Charles Laughton
Release Year: 1957
Rating: Not rated
Running Time: 116 Minutes
