Halloween Curfew Put In Place In Matawan
The curfew begins an hour later on Halloween, so there's still plenty of trick-or-treating time.
MATAWAN, NJ-- Make sure to get your tricks and treats in early in Matawan: the town has announced a special Halloween curfew will be in effect this year between Oct. 29 and 31.
Between 7:30 PM and 5:00 AM the next day, anyone under 16 must be inside, unless accompanied by an adult or traveling to or from work. The curfew will begin an hour later, at 8:30 PM, on Halloween night.
The curfew is to keep children safe and make sure they're not alone after dark outside. It was unclear what the consequences are for breaking the curfew.
