PERTH AMBOY, NJ — This man allegedly turned his Perth Amboy home into a large-scale heroin and cocaine facility, New Jersey State Police charge.
Anthony V. Chicarello, 38, was arrested last Wednesday at his home on Long Ferry Road in Perth Amboy, for more than a dozen criminal offenses including maintaining a heroin and cocaine facility. State Police were originally investigating Chicarello for allegedly using fictitious documents. During the investigation, it was determined that he was also using aliases to avoid arrest for a warrant that was issued by the Union County Sherriff’s Department for drug-related charges.
When detectives with the State Police Fugitive Unit conducted a search warrant on his Perth Amboy home last Wednesday, they said they found cocaine, heroin, marijuana, multiple prescription legend drugs and drug paraphernalia consistent with heroin manufacturing. Police also said they found a .380mm handgun loaded with hollow point bullets, multiple fictitious documents and $2,634 cash.
