Yom HaShoah will be observed at Temple Shalom, 5 Ayrmont Lane in Aberdeen, on Sunday, May 1st at 3:00 pm. Also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day, this is a memorial day for those who died in the Holocaust. It also commemorates the Jewish resistance during that period.
The guest speaker at the Yom HaShoah observance will be Lois Flamholz of Monroe Township. She is a survivor of Auschwitz and was ultimately liberated from Bergen-Belsen.
