The suspect gained entry by throwing a brick through a rear window. This was his second burglary of the day, police said.

Keyport, NJ - A Keyport homeowner was home Friday when they encountered a burglar inside their home, Monmouth County prosecutors said.
This was the second home invasion of the day for the South Amboy man, police said, and he gained entry to both homes by throwing a brick patio block through either the glass back doors or a back window.
Paul Hecht, 47, entered the first home on St. Peters Place in Keyport Friday, and stole more than $2,000 worth of jewelry, police said. He threw a brick through the glass back doors to get inside.
