Inspector Injured By Fall In Elevator Shaft In Monmouth County
The state inspector slipped on a ladder in the elevator shaft after inspecting it, Holmdel police said.

A state inspector was injured when he fell about 5 feet into an elevator shaft at a Holmdel nursing home, police said.
Shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday, the inspector was climbing up a ladder in the elevator shaft at Bayshore Health Care Center on North Beers Street, according to Lt. Michael Pigott.
The inspector slipped on the ladder and fell about 5 feet into the shaft, police said.

He was treated at the scene by the Holmdel First Aid Squad and taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, with back and leg injuries, police said.
