Jersey Shore Huskies 12U Wins Again
Ending the Fall Season on a winning note, the Jersey Shore Huskies 12U comes in first place with a come from behind win in the finals!!!

November 7, 2015 – The leaves are turning, you can smell the crisp cold air and pumpkin pies baking, and of course softball. WHAT?!
That’s right, softball.
The Jersey Shore Huskies hosted their annual 12U Jersey Shore Fall Fest on Saturday, November 7 at Oak Shades Field. The weather cooperated as it was a balmy 60 degrees and the rain held off. Teams from Robbinsville, Cliffside Park, Berkeley and Staten Island came including two North Jersey teams Tsunami and Akadema. All respectable and pretty darn good. Both 12U ’03 & ‘04 Huskies came and ready to play.
The Jersey Shore Huskies ’03 came out facing a challenge from Akadema Elite. This game was close and tight as Angelina kept throwing a barrage of fast balls and getting them on breaking balls. She was on fire as she blanked a well hitting team with a score of 5-0. The second game was against a formidable team, the Staten Island Saints. The game was close and it took the Huskies one inning to score 5 runs against a very good ball club and Mia was able to shut the door and the Huskies win 10-2.

The Huskies made it to the final against the Robbinsville Rampage both with a perfect 2-0 for the day. From the 1st inning you can tell this was going to be a great game. Both sides were relentless in defense and hitting. The Rampage kept pouring on the runs as they scored every inning. The Huskies were scrambling and trying to match their run, but kept coming up short. The Rampage made the score 9-4 on top of the 5th inning as Kate kept battling all day to keep the Huskies within striking distance. Sure enough in the bottom of the 5th inning, the Huskies bats came alive. Hit after hit, run after run, the Huskies kept inching to tie the score at 9-9 and eventually scoring 8 more to mercy them 17-9 (13 runs all together). The Huskies pulled out a come from behind victory!!!
What a way to end the fall season!!! What a comeback from a really solid team. Now that is Jersey Shore Huskies pride. Congrats to all the girls, Kate, Mikie, Angelina, Mia, Emma, Jordan We., Maddie, Emilie, Paige, Jordan Wa. and Gianna.
