Jersey Shore Huskies Fast-Pitch comes in 1st & 2nd

September 5-6, 2015 - Labor day weekend 2015 provided a great sunny weather in New Jersey, especially in Holmdel where the annual All-Shore Labor Day weekend tournament was held.

The tournament consisted of 12U, 14U and a 16U/18U teams to kick off the fall season.  The Huskies teams did not disappoint as all of the division were represented.

The upstart 12U ‘04 team performed well in its first true games of the season. You can see the girls were excited and the parents all proud of their efforts.  Great job!!!

The 14U ‘01 team went 2-0-1 in pool play with the second seed.  The bats came alive in all three games and every player made a contribution.  On championship Sunday, they won their semi-final game to advance to the final Barracudas.  It was a back and forth affair with many lead changes and ties.  Although the 14U Huskies fell to the Barracudas, they all played well as a team despite having five new players on the team.

The 16U ‘00 team played well and had a 1-1-1 record going into the semi-final game.  They eventually reached the final and faced the Shore Crush who was the only team that beat them on Saturday.  The game was close with tons of great defense and at the end the Huskies prevailed with a 5-2 win.
