Jersey Shore Huskies Travel Softball attends World Series in Salisbury, MD

July 16-20 USSSA World Series (Salisbury, MD)- The Jersey Shore Huskies traveled to Salisbury, MD to attend the USSSA World Series this past weekend and teams played extremely well.

The 10U team posted a 5-4 record. During the tough "Bracket" Saturday, the Huskies had to win 4 games within 6 hours. They fought inning by inning and pitch by pitch and before you know it, they won 3 straight. They ended the day 3-1 as they played a tough and rested team from Maryland. The 10U came in 7th place overall in the "open" division.

The Jersey Shore Huskies 12Ucc also played with determination. They posted a 3-3 record and played three #1 seed. In addition, they were second in average runs scored and fifth in average run differential. Their success came with tremendous pitching performance, timely hitting and aggressive defense. The 12Ucc came in 13th place overall in the "c" division.

In the 12U open division, the Jersey Shore Huskies 12Ujm faced a monumental task in playing some of the elite "A" teams. In addition, they only had 9 players (2 pitchers) to play for the whole weekend. Against all odds they were able to post a 2-4 record and 33rd place overall in the "open" division.

All of the Jersey Shore Huskies players played their hearts out with grit and poise. This weekend showed their hard work with a few come from behind and walk-off wins. It was a week to remember, a week to experience and a lifetime of great memories. We thank you to all the parents who made sure the teams had fresh uniforms, to all the supporters for your unbridled enthusiasm and cheer, to the coaches who made sure the girls were all ready and most of all, thank you to all the players for your dedication, hard-work and resilience. This experience was realized because of your commitment and perseverance . Great job and see you guys in the fall!!!
