Jersey Shore Huskies Travel Softball - Great Fall Season

Jersey Shore Huskies Fall Season Summary

November 7 - The Jersey Shore Huskies Fast-Pitch Softball Program completed a successful Fall season which included three new teams. Our young 10u team lead by coach Tom, showed exceptional promise in the fall in which they continue to work hard and improve in all aspect of the game. They played all season long with heart, determination and most of all, they had fun. For a Halloween tournament, they all dressed up as emojis. Great job to all the coaches and most of all to all the girls.

Our 12u teams saw tons of action and were very competitive during the fall. Our 1st year 12u team worked hard every practice and coach Pete provided our young players the desire and experience to compete next year. Awesome job by all the coaches and keep working hard ladies.

The 12u 2k5 team saw success in the fall playing in the All-Shore League and making it as a finalist in a tournament in East Brunswick. Their tenacity and fun loving ways proved to be a great combination lead by coach Chris, who by the way dressed up like "Cruella De Vil" from the Dalmations movie. Our experienced 14u teams were very successful in the fall as they get ready for upcoming 2018 season. The 14u 2k4 team proved to be a worthy and teams going against them have a lot on their hand. The team has speed and power which provide the opposing teams problem. Coach Cristina continues to train hard and teach fundamentals during practice and games. All the hard work earned them the Championship in the USSSA EVO9x Tournament. Congrats to all the coaches and awesome job ladies.

The 14u 2nd year team led by coach Chris had a very strong season with a re-vamp line-up. The long hours of late practices and the girls dedication proved to be a great combination as the team ended the fall with a record of 23 - 7. They came together as a team and won as evident with their 2nd place finish in the USSSA Sand-Lot Tournament, posting a 5-1 record for the weekend.

Our 1st year 16u team came together and played tough throughout the season, despite injuries. They fought all season long even with late night practices as players also played other sports. The camaraderie they built this season will surely pave way for next years successes. Time for winter workout and good luck to all the 16u players playing in high school.

Next up for these young players is winter workout starting in January. We applaud and congratulate all the coaches who worked hard and put their time in to teach and mentor all the players. For all the Jersey Shore Huskies players, you all did a tremendous job. Keep up the hard work and listen to your coaches, but most of all have FUN. CONGRATULATIONS ON A VERY SUCCESSFUL FALL SEASON!!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!
