Jersey Shore Huskies Wins Again!!!

The Jersey Shore Huskies 12U played their hearts out on Saturday and won the 12U Division in the Pink Tournament.

The PINK Tournament (http://www.pinkribbonsoftball.org) is a fastpitch softball tournament, hosted and facilitated by the Pink Ribbon Softball, Inc. along with Susan G. Komen Central and Southern NJ and local community volunteers. The purpose of the event is to encourage and engage the area youth fastpitch participants to fundraise for breast cancer research and to help spread breast cancer awareness to those they reach in their fundraising efforts.

This is the third year the Huskies attended this worth while cause. This time they only had nine players due to an injury. They fought hard and played tremendous defense. At the end, their perseverance paid off and became champions. Great job Huskies!!!

The 14U Huskies played in a 2-Day USSSA tournament in Linden and made the semi final game. The game provided exciting highlights with great bunts and home runs as the Huskies kept battling back in a see-saw affair. They eventually lost in seven innings, but the girls are finally coming together and their efforts are showing.
