MATAWAN-ABERDEEN, NJ — July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Matawan-Aberdeen so you can start planning now.

Aberdeen: Aberdeen Township already announced that their 2022 Independence Day celebration will be July 1 this year, again on the Cliffwood Beach/Veterans Memorial Park waterfront. "It will be bigger and badder than ever!" says the Township. Fireworks will again go off at 9 p.m. this year.

Woodbridge: The annual Woodbridge Township Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks display returns to Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront on Friday July 1, 2022. The incredible "BRINGING THE NIGHT TO LIFE” fireworks display choreographed to music gets underway at dusk (approximately 9:30 PM) - the fireworks will be simulcast on 1079 WOLD radio. AM GOLD YACHT ROCK PARTY takes the stage before and after the fireworks display.

The gates will open to the public at 4:00 p.m. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged. There is no reserved seating and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park. Red Bank: On Sunday, July 3 the Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees will once again host fireworks to benefit Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center. Fireworks go off at 9:30 p.m. from the DiPiero home on the Navesink River in Red Bank. They can be seen from the Middletown area.

Hazlet: Traditional Fireworks Display

Where: Veterans Park, 1776 Union Ave., Hazlet.
When: July 2, 8:30 p.m. with a rain date of July 3.

All are invited to Hazlet's annual fireworks display in celebration of Independence Day.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, around 8:30 pm. The rain date July 3.

The fireworks go off from Veterans Park at 1776 Union Avenue in Hazlet, and can be seen in parking lots and backyards all around.

Watching them with family and friends is a tradition in Hazlet. There will be food trucks at Veterans Park. Parking is available at the Swim Club Parking lot.
