Our intention today is to give you a snapshot of the monthly statistics for your local real estate market.  Below is a comparison for July 2013/2012 closed single family home sales for Matawan and Aberdeen. (DOM=days on market)

Matawan: *Closed Sales for the month of July: 

• July 2013:  6 single family homes sold with an average sale price of $299,833. vs an average list price of $317,800. with an average 144 DOM
• July 2012:  6 single family homes sold with an average sale price of $272,833. vs an average list price of $291,850 with an average 79 DOM

• There are currently 20 homes under contract with an average list price of $290,754. with an average 73 DOM.
• There are currently 45 homes available with an average list price of $355,613. with an average 97 DOM.

Aberdeen: *Closed Sales for the month of July:

• July 2013: 24 single family homes sold with an average sale price of $304,663. vs an average list price of $319,343. with an average 58 DOM
• July 2012: 11 single family homes sold with an average sale price of $284,118. vs an average list price of $292,982. with an average 90 DOM

• There are currently 42 homes under contract with an average list price of $308,433. with an average 87 DOM.
• There are currently 84 homes available with an average list price of $305,207. with an average 126 DOM.
