Keansburg Man Charged With Hazlet Burglary
The 35-year-old man from Keansburg was charged with drug offenses, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.

A Keansburg man has been charged with a Hazlet burglary.
Christopher Sclavunos, 35, of Keansburg was charged with drug offenses, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.
According to a news release, posted on the Hazlet Police Department’s Facebook page:

On Friday night a burglary was reported in the Lillian Drive area.
Police were able to identify the vehicle used in the burglary, and patrol officers were instructed to watch for it.

At 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Patrolman Patrick Wood spotted the vehicle being driven in the parking lot of the Hazlet Swim Club. He pulled the vehicle over, and the driver, Sclavunos, was arrested.
He is being held at the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township on $76,000 bail.
The investigation is continuing.
Detective Jerry Laurino handled the investigation, with help from Patrol Officer Richard Jaeger. Patrolman Dane Frattalone assisted during the traffic stop.
