Keyport Man Arrested, Charged With Having Child Sex Abuse Materials

His online activities were investigated by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit at the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

KEYPORT, NJ — Michael Shaw, 58, of the Keyport section of Old Bridge, was arrested as a result of a child pornography investigation done by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

His online activities were investigated by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit at the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

That unit received a tip from the Monmouth County Prosecutor, and Detective Ken McGarry started investigating Shaw's alleged online activities.

Shaw was arrested without incident June 12 at his home in Old Bridge. A search-warrant was executed on his home devices.

He was charged with second-degree maintaining a child sex abuse material peer-to-peer file-sharing network, second-degree distribution of child sex abuse material, second-degree possession of child sex abuse material with the intent to distribute, and third-degree possession of child sex abuse material.

He is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility
