Keyport Man Charged In North Jersey Car Break-In Spree
He was arrested Friday hiding behind a shed at the Secaucus Animal Shelter. Police said he was found with used hypodermic needles.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A Keyport man was arrested in North Jersey Friday morning, where police say he is a suspect in a spree of car break-ins.
The town of Secaucus has been hit by more than a dozen car break-ins in July and August and local police set up patrols in the targeted areas.
At 2:21 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, officers saw William Fales, 30, of Keyport, walking in the area. He also fit the description of the burglary suspect as captured on home security cameras.

Police tried to apprehend Fales and said they found him hiding behind a shed near the Secaucus Animal Hospital. He was arrested for trespassing and for having two outstanding no-bail warrants from Woodbridge, one outstanding warrant from Keansburg with a bail of $1,000 and one outstanding warrant from Middletown with a bail of $850.
At the time of his arrest, police said he was found with used hypodermic needles and other evidence that linked him to some of the vehicle burglaries.

Fales was charged with two counts of burglary, theft, defiant trespass and possession of hypodermic needles. He is lodged in the Hudson County Jail.
Additional charges for other burglaries may follow, said Secaucus Police.
