Each year the Keyport-Matawan Elks hold a Hoop Shoot Challege for boy and girls, ages 8-13. The children have the opportunity to shoot from the free throw line and makes as many in as they can. The winners of the local lodge level will then move up to our district shoot. Where they will have the chance on winning and moving on to the State shoot. The winners of these shoot will keep moving up until it gets to the National Shoot held in Chicago. If the child is able to win, he or she will get their names inscribed in the NBA hall of fame. It is an excellent opportunity for the children and is no cost to the family. This event is funded by the Elks. Stop by on November 18th at the Matawan Regional High school and let your children try it. We will be there at 9am to start signing kids up.
