In Keyport, Witches Paddle Out On Raritan Bay
If you saw a bunch of witches paddling Raritan Bay off Keyport Halloween weekend, your eyes weren't deceiving you.
KEYPORT, NJ — If you saw a bunch of witches paddling Raritan Bay off Keyport Halloween weekend, your eyes weren't deceiving you.
The event was Oct. 31 and featured all local Keyport residents, including members of the Keyport Garden Club and Keyport Yacht Club.
It was organized by Keyport resident Clare Skeen, and led by fellow Keyport residents Nancy Smalling, Gwen Heffron, Nancie Frank and Julie Nastasi.

The witch paddling event (they called it BayWITCH) was just for fun, said participant Sonia Rodriguez-Trench, but many of the women are supporters of local non-profits in town, such as the Friends of Keyport Library, the Keyport Garden Club and Keyport Yacht Club.
We're sure they will be out there next Halloween as well!
