LA Fitness Coming To Aberdeen Plaza On Rt. 35
An LA Fitness is moving into the old A&P grocery store location in Aberdeen Plaza on Rt. 35. It will take about a year to open.

ABERDEEN, NJ — An L.A. Fitness is moving into the old A&P store in Aberdeen Plaza on Rt. 35, Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini announced.
L.A. Fitness has signed a lease to become the new anchor of the former A&P shopping center on Rte. 35 and Cliffwood Ave, Aberdeen Twp. announced.
The LA Fitness will occupy about 34,000 square feet in the former A&P space, the entirety of which is 57,000 square feet. It will take about a year for that LA Fitness to open. There are still several other vacant storefronts in that shopping complex, but Tagliarini said he is optimistic that once the LA Fitness opens it will encourage other businesses to come in.

“L.A. Fitness will be an excellent amenity for residents of Cliffwood and Cliffwood Beach, and other parts of Aberdeen and neighboring towns,” said Mayor Tagliarini. “With this strong anchor in place, we believe that the landlord will be well-positioned to recruit new retail and service tenants to this strategically-located property, and help our efforts to rejuvenate the Rte. 35 corridor.”
The next nearest LA Fitness is further down on Hwy. 35 in Holmdel.
