Local professional organizer, Katie Tracy, attended the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) annual conference last week.
The annual conference, held in Los Angeles, California this year, was attended by over 600 organizers worldwide with organizers from the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, and Japan. Over the four-day conference Tracy attended several sessions on a variety of organizing topics such as why disorganization can be chronic, brain “hacks” for helping clients stay on track, and the psychology of compulsive buying.
In addition to the several breakout sessions, the conference offered a large exposition hall with the latest organizing products and solutions. “The expo hall offers a great opportunity to see what new products are available. I’m always looking for new storage options for my clients, apps to make day-to-day tasks easier, and brand-new services.” Two products that Tracy found particularly interesting were the Wrap-It wrapping paper organizer and the Time and Space Styles Inventory (TSSI).
