Man Charged with Breaking Into Matawan Home Twice, Police Say

He was arrested for breaking into the Matawan Avenue home twice, and more from the Matawan-Aberdeen police blotter:

Matawan, NJ - An Aberdeen man was arrested earlier this month and charged with breaking into the same Matawan home on two different days, police said.

Timothy W. Moore, 51, of Aberdeen, was arrested August 17 for burglaries at the Matawan Avenue home on August 3 and again on August 4. A computer bag and a case were stolen, police said.

  • It was reported that someone tried to break into a storage shed at Matawan Regional High School on Atlantic Avenue on Aug. 18. Nothing was taken from inside the shed.
  • Brandi L. Booze, 20, Middletown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, underage DWI, driving an uninspected vehicle, and failure to exhibit an insurance card following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on August 20. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • On August 20 an Imperia Place resident reported she was a victim of a Craigslist scam in which she was given a fraudulent check for items she sold. The amount was for more than the price of the items and she wrote a check to the individual for the overage.
  • Kyle L. Jones, 31, Matawan, was arrested on contempt warrants out of Belmar and Marlboro municipal courts following an incident at the 7-11 store on Hwy. 34 on August 22. He was also charged with possession of suspected cocaine. P.O. Christopher DeSarno was the arresting officer.
  • On August 22 it was reported that a trailer containing approximately $80,000 worth of construction equipment was taken sometime over the weekend from the Somerset Anchor construction site on Cliffwood Ave. P.O. Gus Grivas took the initial report and Det. Manny Carabel is continuing the investigation.
