Man Cuts His Wrist Breaking Into County Road Home, Police Report

An Aberdeen man was caught in the act after he cut his wrist trying to break into a County Road home Tuesday night, police said.

Aberdeen, NJ - A local man was caught in the act after he cut his wrist trying to break into a County Road home Tuesday night in Aberdeen, police said.

The Aberdeen Township police have charged Timothy Moore, 51, of County Rd., with the burglary of a home on that same road Tuesday night.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., a resident called police and reported hearing glass breaking and seeing a subject entering a vacant residence on County Road. Responding officers found a broken rear window and blood on the glass and windowsill. Matawan police officer Charles Henry located Moore, who had a cut wrist, nearby on Arlington Ave. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, a screwdriver, and work gloves, police said. Nothing was taken from the home.

He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of burglar’s tools. He was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
