Man Tried To Break Into Cars At Aberdeen Train Station

Both Matawan and Aberdeen police said they received several calls last Friday, Aug. 24 about a man trying to break into cars in the lot.

ABERDEEN, NJ — A man was arrested last Friday at the Aberdeen/Matawan train station, after police said he tried to break into several parked cars there.

Both Matawan and Aberdeen police departments received several calls last Friday, Aug. 24 about a man attempting to break into cars. When Matawan police officers responded to the station, they actually saw him trying to enter two vehicles, Aberdeen Police Chief John Powers said.

The 27-year-old Long Branch man was taken into custody last Friday in the train station parking lot. He was charged with attempted burglary.
