Matawan Aberdeen Babe Ruth League Extends Late Registration Due to Weather
Don't forget to sign up your child for the league. The season is only seven weeks away.
The Matawan Aberdeen Babe Ruth League announced that it will be extending late registration until Saturday, Feb. 16Β due to the recent weather conditions.
βWeβve had people who havenβt signed up yet and I think a big part of it is the weather. When it's 18 degrees outside or thereβs a foot of snow, people arenβt thinking βHey, itβs almost baseball seasonβ,β said Councilman Tom Fitzsimmons, who is also a member of the MABRL Board of Trustees.
βBut weβre only seven weeks away from opening day so we need to get uniforms ordered and pick teams pretty soon,β he continued.
