Thirty years in the making, From the Back Street to Main Street… And Beyond chronicles the Methodist Community of Middletown Point from the time they were forced to build on the back street of the town to the congregation of today. Through the use of handwritten records and photographs, this book presents a history of the Matawan United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. Traditions of the congregation are interpreted in the light of lifestyles and culture of the times.
