Matawan Day & Food Festival RESCHEDULED for Saturday, October 17th on Main Street

Food, Crafts, Free Rides &Entertainment are part this year's Matawan Day on Main Street, 12 pm - 5 pm, Sat. 10/17 (rain date Sun. 10/18)

Due to inclement weather, the Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce in association with the Recreation Commission of the Borough of Matawan has rescheduled this year’s Matawan Day & Food Festival to Saturday, October 17th (rain date, Sun. Oct. 18th), 12:00pm - 5:00 pm.

Much of Matawan’s Main Street will be closed off to traffic and become one large magnificent street fair!
Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of food, crafts and entertainment by local restaurants, artisans and musicians from the community and surrounding towns.

While walking along Main Street, visitors may treat themselves to a wonderful array of food prepared by several local restaurants: La Riviera, Maloney’s Pub & Grill, Casa Fabian, and MJ’s Restaurant. Food Truck favorites Big Harlie’s Barbeque, Buttered Biscuit Company, and Maria’s Tasty Ice Cream will be back along with some new additions: Really Good Pretzels and CTX Jorge’s Icexpress. MJ’s will be hosting the Beer and Wine Garden this year as well.

Children will have the opportunity to see a magician at Mullaney & Associates Physical Therapy table and also enjoy the thrill of American Bounce Factory’s free rides courtesy of our premier sponsors: CareOne at Holmdel, Dr. Marianne Mauro & Associates, Greater Media Newspapers, MJ’s Buttonwood Manor Restaurant, and Tommy G Show.

Total Sound Entertainment will serve as Master of Ceremony and DJ for the entertainment that will run from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Billy Doremus, Raising the Barre Dance Studio, Next Level All Star Dance Studio, Touch of Dance, Tula Yoga Studio, MJ Expressions, Blue Dragon Karate are among some of those scheduled to perform.

In addition, visitors are welcome to take a tour of Burrowes Mansion courtesy of the Matawan Historical Society and to stop by any of the local business and non-profit organization tables to learn about their services. Several will be holding raffles and offering give-aways! Crafters and artisans will have various products for sale such as jewelry, handbags & totes, hats & scarves, floral arrangements, makeup & cosmetics, sports memorabilia, health & wellness products, tshirts, and Momma’s homemade applesauce & barbeque sauce.

The Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce will have an information table listing all the Matawan Day participants, their locations on Main Street, as well as information about future Chamber and Recreation Commission events.
