HOUSTON, NJ - A man who graduated from Matawan High School but now lives in Houston was arrested in January and charged with setting up a hidden camera to record two female friends when they visited his home.

As a local news site in Houston reported, Rahul Venkatraman, 25, was arrested and charged with improper photography.

The two female victims, from New Jersey, said they stayed with Venkatraman at his apartment as part of their trip visiting Houston last June. It was while they were in the bathroom that the women said they found the hidden camera; it had been placed inside a bag with a hole cut in the side, and was aimed at the toilet and shower.

The women then confronted Venkatraman on Facebook, and told investigators they have Facebook messages from him apologizing. The women turned over the memory card to police. The memory card included several digital videos of the women in a bathroom, police said.
