Matawan Huskies win 2015 Tag'em Beach Bash IV Baseball Tournament Championship!

The Matawan Huskies Baseball team battled 12 elite teams from three states, nearly triple digit temperatures and endured an extra inning championship game. The team was 1-1 on Saturday and the 6th seed going into the elimination game where they shut out Baseball U 1-0 in a tough pitcher’s duel. In the semi-final, they shut out the Jersey Shore Whitecaps 7-0. In the championship game, against the #1 seed, SJ Guns, they saw a 2-0 lead dissipate late in the game. The game was tied after regulation, but a few batters walked, one was hit by a pitch and then the bats came alive. SJ Guns weren’t done. They battled back but it wasn’t enough. The final score - Matawan Huskies 7, SJ Guns 4. The Huskies are coached by Bobby Carnovsky.
