Matawan Man Charged With Selling Heroin

The man, 18, was arrested in what police are calling a drug deal out of his car gone bad.

A Matawan man was arrested in what police are calling a drug deal gone bad last week in Keansburg. Two Middletown residents were also involved. This marked the tenth heroin arrest in Keansburg in the past seven days.

Keansburg Police Officer Bryan King responded to a call of a theft near the intersection of Rt. 36 and Main Street. There, police found three people involved in what appeared to be a drug sale, police said. Brandon Witkowski, 18, of Matawan was planning to sell heroin to George McNulty, a 46-year-old Middletown resident, police said.

Witkowski’s girlfriend, Chelsea Villano, 22, of Port Monmouth was also involved, police charge.

Police found 20 bags of heroin in Villano’s and Witkowski’s car.

McNulty was charged and released on his own recognizance. Villano and Witkowski were both charged with the more serious offenses of intent to sell drugs, and remanded to jail on a $17,500 bail, with no 10% option.
