Matawan Resident Completes West Point Basic Training

Matawan resident Ronald Robinson Jr. completed basic training at West Point and is now officially in the Corps of Cadets .

Areas of summer instruction included first aid, mountaineering, hand grenades,rifle marksmanship and nuclear, biological, and chemical training, according to a press release issued by the school.

Robinson graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School. He plans to graduate from WestPoint in 2017 with an engineering degree and be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
